Last night I went to see Scrabbel and Wonfu at Spaceland. Excellent show! I will have to post some Wonfu later for your listening pleasure. But during the Scrabbel set, Dan told the audience that they were doing a cover of a Kinks song. I went "Whoo-hooo!" because I love the Kinks and then the sound of crickets hit my ear. Really people? You don't know the Kinks? THE KINKS! What is wrong with the youth of today?!? Come on! It's the KINKS!!!!!
I suppose I shouldn't be so offended but seriously, they have influenced so many bands out there..and if not the Kinks at least Ray Davies. GAH!
Anyway, I have to say Scrabbel did an amazing cover.
But really...Waterloo Sunset? Who doesn't know that song? It's one of the best songs ever. (ok, this made me sound like an old person but whatever)
