I just got an email from my friend, Christina, about the new Grateful Dead Archive at UCSC.
I never thought it could get any hippier. Don't get me wrong, I love that frickin' school. I love being a banana slug. I love all of my friends that I have kept in touch with and the new people I still meet. UCSC grads always seem to be drawn to each for some reason.
I am glad to read that they renovated good ole McHenry Library but a dedicated room to the Grateful Dead. Wow. Just. Wow.

My friend, Shanan, posted this on his blog so, it deserves reposting on mine. I swear, anything that Fox news hates or views as destructive to the moral majority is all right by me. Luckily, this time, it's my alma mater, UCSC. I love my school even more than I did before.

Yes, we had Cornell West come and speak, Angela Davis taught and teaches at the school...it was amazing. But I'm one of the "brainwashed" masses who came out of that school.
