Paul Newman is my favorite actor of all time. I used to tell people that I would totally marry him even though is was in his 80s. I really admired him as an actor and a person. I think, we just lost one of the greatest actors of our time. I am glad his work, his food products and his good deeds will still carry on. Rest In Peace Mr. Newman! Ah, I just read that Estelle Getty passed away. She was my favorite on the "Golden Girls." Last summer, Carolline and I had Golden Girls marathons and the dog I would dogsit, Kimmi, LOVED the Golden Girls. She actually would sit and watch the show with me. Isn't that hilarious?
Max Roach is my favorite jazz drummer. He passed away at the age of 83. Here is a nice link to the Forbes obit on him.
When I was a student at U.C. Santa Cruz, I took a jazz appreciation course during my sophomore year. I did not and still do not know as much about jazz as I aspire to know, but I remember watching a performance featuring Max Roach and having my mind completely blown. Who knew anyone could play the drums like that?
