The Proust Questionnaire

The Proust Questionnaire has its origins in a parlor game popularized (though not devised) by Marcel Proust, the French essayist and novelist, who believed that, in answering these questions, an individual reveals his or her true nature. Here is the basic Proust Questionnaire.
1. What is your idea of perfect happiness?
a sunny day at the beach, cool breeze, umbrella, small waves, a good book (plus a cocktail)
2. What is your greatest fear?
being to scared to take risks
3. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
lack of discipline
4. What is the trait you most deplore in others?
entitlement and laziness
5. Which living person do you most admire?
my mom, michelle obama
6. What is your greatest extravagance?
buying music
7. What is your current state of mind?
unsettled...
8. What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
being skinny
9. On what occasion do you lie?
um, i try to not lie...
10. What do you most dislike about your appearance?
my big calves but it's in the family so whatever..it's only because I like wearing boots and can't find any to fit! ha!
11. Which living person do you most despise?
fear-mongers whether they are right wing or left wing...
12. What is the quality you most like in a man?
Strength of character
13. What is the quality you most like in a woman?
strength of character
14. Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
"really?"
"OMG!"

15. What or who is the greatest love of your life?
still looking for that
16. When and where were you happiest?
laughing on the phone or in person, driving anywhere and everywhere
17. Which talent would you most like to have?
wish I was a dancer or a musician
18. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
my current state of mind - i've fallen into a negative zone and i need to get out
19. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
taking risks and doing what I wanted - I've experienced and had many opportunities that wouldn't have happened if I didn't make the decisions I've made
20. If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?
hoot hoot..owl!
21. Where would you most like to live?
Somewhere I can surf and be close to the ocean...the Pacific rim somewhere...our water is better that the Atlantic..that's just my opinion!
22. What is your most treasured possession?
Letters from my dad during my first year in college when he was in the Persian Gulf
23. What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
hopelessness
24. What is your favorite occupation?
bartender - so fun, hard work, hilarious people, just good times and for the most part, people are happy. You can learn a lot on the job from people from all walks of life. :)
25. What is your most marked characteristic?
My laughter.
26. What do you most value in your friends?
their honesty and strength of character
27. Who are your favorite writers?
I'm a librarian..this list is way too long..but currently, Michael Pollan, J.K. Rowling, Nick Hornby, Carl Hiaasen, Jane Austen, John Steinbeck, Murakami, and the list goes on and on.
28. Who is your hero of fiction?
I don't really have one...
29. Which historical figure do you most identify with?
I don't really know. I identify with different parts of different people. Maybe Roald Dahl.
30. Who are your heroes in real life?
