Music Monday: From L.A. With Love
I wish I had a record player with a USB hook up because I would share a track from this album with you. It is an Art Don't Sleep production. There is a good review on Blogcritics magazine. It features lots of great L.A. musicians and artists and is just an amazing record. The vinyl also comes with the CD liner notes so you can also check out the artwork associated with each artist. A couple of tracks From L.A. With Love that stand out for me are:
From Leaf To Feather - "Night Sun"
Nathan Yell - "Goodbye" (i think you can get a snippet of the song from Properly Chilled) - his voice in this song just gets straight to your heart.
A Race of Angels - "Just Begin" - you can listen to this song on their myspace page. It's amazing. I'm amazed by all the orchestration - violins, saxophones, maybe a clarinet? I don't know. It's just an incredible song.
Computer Jay featuring The Gray Kid - "1000 fold"
Excellent downtempo beats for your listening pleasure...
(SIDE NOTE: I'm about to sign back up on Myspace because whenever I look for band pages, that's what comes up. I suppose I can devote it solely to music but you know, some of my friends on it. My friend, Nancy, uses it solely for music...thoughts?)
