I just got an email from my friend, Christina, about the new Grateful Dead Archive at UCSC.
I never thought it could get any hippier. Don't get me wrong, I love that frickin' school. I love being a banana slug. I love all of my friends that I have kept in touch with and the new people I still meet. UCSC grads always seem to be drawn to each for some reason.
I am glad to read that they renovated good ole McHenry Library but a dedicated room to the Grateful Dead. Wow. Just. Wow.

ay, yi, yi. Not a Dead fan. I don't particularly like the music (though some of the songs themselves are good, for the writing) but it's the whole "deadhead" thing that annoys me. yaaaagh.
I still think it's hilarious that a school has a banana slug as a mascot!! hee hee!
